# Statuses and errors

> Project, production run, render, and common error states shown in Onira.

Onira exposes status at several levels: project status, pipeline run status, render status, and UI-specific blocking states.

## Project statuses

| Status | Meaning |
| --- | --- |
| Draft | Project exists but has not completed production. |
| Generating screenplay | Story structure and script work are active. |
| Generating narration | Narration work is active. |
| Generating visuals | Visual asset or video generation is active. |
| Generating music | Music generation is active. |
| Assembling | Assets are being assembled into the timeline. |
| Completed | Project is complete enough for export. |
| Failed | Production failed and needs retry, resume, or support. |

The Projects page lets you filter by Draft, In progress, Completed, and Failed. In progress can include several generation and assembly statuses.

## Blueprint approval states

A project can pause for blueprint approval. In that state:

- The Blueprint tab becomes the primary review surface.
- Blueprint fields can be editable.
- Studio chat can show the approval action.
- Production does not continue until the blueprint is approved.

Approval can be blocked until required portraits, subject images, settings images, and voices are ready.

## Pipeline run states

The project workspace reads the latest pipeline run and progress snapshot. The UI can show:

- Current stage.
- Percent progress.
- Blueprint preview readiness.
- Whether approval is waiting.
- Whether the run can resume.
- Failure category.
- Latest error summary.

When a failed run is resumable, the retry action resumes that run. Otherwise, the retry action starts a new run from the project intake.

## Render statuses

| Status | Meaning |
| --- | --- |
| Queued | Render request has been accepted and is waiting. |
| Rendering | Render is actively being produced. |
| Rendered | Render completed and can be previewed or downloaded. |
| Render failed | Render failed and may need another attempt. |

Only one render can be active for a project at a time.

## Common blocking states

| State | What to do |
| --- | --- |
| Insufficient credits | Add credits, upgrade, or reduce duration/quality. |
| Run cap reached | Wait for another production to finish or upgrade. |
| Blueprint not ready | Wait for required images, voices, or assistant work. |
| Export locked | Complete the project before rendering. |
| Render already active | Wait for the active render to finish or fail. |
| Project run in flight | Wait before deleting or moving the active project. |

## Support packet

When reporting a production or render issue, include:

- Workspace name.
- Project link.
- Project ID if available from Settings.
- Latest visible error.
- Whether the issue happened during production, Studio edit, or export.
- Invoice number if the issue is billing-related.

## Product and publication boundary

- Onira produces a reviewable MP4; it does not upload or schedule social posts.
- Creators remain responsible for facts, sources, rights, disclosure, policy review, and final publication.
- Research is research-assisted; creator verification is required before publication.
- Onira does not guarantee factual accuracy, legal clearance, monetization, reach, or production success.
- The current Timeline and Studio surfaces support defined review and regeneration workflows, not arbitrary nonlinear editing.
