# Export and render history

> How to render, preview, download, and inspect MP4 export attempts.

Canonical: https://docs.onira.studio/studio/export-and-render-history
Section: studio

Export is the final deliverable step. It is separate from production generation.

## Export unlock

Export is locked until the project is complete. A project can start a render when:

- Project status is completed, or
- A previous render exists, or
- A previous render failed and can be retried.

Only one render can be queued or rendering for a project at a time.

## Render quality

| UI label | Quality enum | Resolution | Plan |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| HD | `DRAFT` | 720p | Creator+ |
| Full HD | `HD` | 1080p | Creator+ |
| Full HD Premium | `FULL` | 1080p | Studio+ |
| 4K Ultra HD | `UHD` | 4K | Pro+ |

If a quality is locked, the Export tab shows the required plan and an upgrade action.

## Render states

| State | Meaning |
| --- | --- |
| Queued | Waiting for a render slot. |
| Rendering | Render job is running. |
| Rendered | MP4 is ready. |
| Render failed | Render attempt failed and error details may be shown. |

The Export tab subscribes to render progress for active renders and refetches the history when a render reaches a terminal state.

## Render history

Render history shows recent attempts. It includes:

- Status badge.
- Quality.
- Creation date.
- Progress for active renders.
- Last error for failed renders.
- Preview and download actions for completed renders.

Previous failed attempts can be collapsed behind a summary row.

## Preview and download

Completed renders can be previewed in a video dialog and downloaded through the signed video URL with download mode.

Signed URLs are refreshed by the app when needed. If a download link has expired, reload the project or reopen Export.

## Render again

Render again after:

- Subtitle style changes.
- Active asset version changes.
- Studio-approved regeneration.
- Timeline data changes.
- Any project change that should be visible in the MP4.

## Product and publication boundary

- Onira produces a reviewable MP4; it does not upload or schedule social posts.
- Creators remain responsible for facts, sources, rights, disclosure, policy review, and final publication.
- Research is research-assisted; creator verification is required before publication.
- Onira does not guarantee factual accuracy, legal clearance, monetization, reach, or production success.
- The current Timeline and Studio surfaces support defined review and regeneration workflows, not arbitrary nonlinear editing.
