# Account and onboarding

> How users enter the app, create or switch workspaces, and keep workspace context.

Canonical: https://docs.onira.studio/workspace/account-and-onboarding
Section: workspace

Onira is workspace-based. After login, users work inside an active workspace. Project, character, billing, and member actions are scoped to that workspace.

## Workspace URLs

Authenticated workspace routes include the workspace slug. The slug keeps the user inside the right organization when navigating between Home, Projects, Characters, Templates, and Settings.

The app can realign the active workspace when a user opens a project link from a different workspace they belong to. The project record's organization becomes the active workspace context so the sidebar, credits, and settings match the project.

## Creating a workspace

Users can create a workspace from onboarding or from the workspace switcher. The switcher includes a Create workspace action.

Use a workspace for a production team, client account, or content operation. Credits, members, saved characters, projects, folders, usage, and billing belong to that workspace.

## Switching workspaces

The workspace switcher shows:

- Workspace name and avatar.
- Current plan.
- Member count.
- Credit totals, including frozen credits.
- Pending invitations.
- Actions for settings, inviting members, plan management, and workspace creation.

When switching workspaces, the project composer reloads that workspace's creation defaults and plan caps.

## Pending invitations

Pending invitations appear in the workspace switcher and in Settings > People. Invitations include the workspace name, inviter, role, and expiry.

Invitations expire after 7 days. Owners and admins can revoke pending invitations from People settings.

## Account-level settings

Account settings live under Settings > Account. Notification preferences and support links are also under Settings, but they are account-facing rather than project-specific.

## Practical rules

- Use one workspace per billing owner.
- Do not share a workspace if the projects should have separate credit ledgers or member lists.
- Invite people through Settings > People instead of sharing account credentials.
- Use workspace links when sending project URLs to teammates.

## Product and publication boundary

- Onira produces a reviewable MP4; it does not upload or schedule social posts.
- Creators remain responsible for facts, sources, rights, disclosure, policy review, and final publication.
- Research is research-assisted; creator verification is required before publication.
- Onira does not guarantee factual accuracy, legal clearance, monetization, reach, or production success.
- The current Timeline and Studio surfaces support defined review and regeneration workflows, not arbitrary nonlinear editing.
