Quotes, retries, and failures
How estimates, credit freezing, retries, failed renders, and refunds work.
Before a production starts, Onira estimates the credit cost from the selected settings. The confirmation dialog is the last checkpoint before provider-heavy work begins.
Estimates
The estimate responds to:
- Duration.
- Model profile.
- Language and narration settings.
- Aspect ratio.
- Render quality.
- Whether blueprint review is enabled.
- Saved character references.
- Production shape and expected media complexity.
The estimate shown before confirmation is the practical source of truth for the job.
Confirmation
The confirmation dialog repeats:
- Prompt.
- Duration.
- Aspect ratio.
- Language.
- Model profile.
- Blueprint-review mode.
- Selected saved characters.
- Estimated cost.
Production cannot be casually undone after confirmation because external provider work may begin immediately.
Frozen and available credits
The app can show total, frozen, and available credits. Frozen credits represent work that has been reserved or is in progress. Available credits are the amount left for new work.
If the workspace does not have enough available credits for the estimated maximum, the production cannot start until credits are added or the settings are reduced.
Production run failures
When a production fails, the project workspace shows the latest run state and available recovery action. A recoverable failure can expose a resume action. A non-recoverable failure starts a new run from the current project intake.
The project screen distinguishes:
- Resumable runs.
- Runs blocked by the workspace run cap.
- Failed runs with an error summary.
- Projects that are awaiting blueprint approval.
- Projects that have completed enough work to render.
Retries
Onira is designed to retry from the failed stage when possible. Completed assets are reused and should not be charged again simply because a later stage failed.
Retry behavior depends on the failed stage, provider response, and whether the run still has enough recoverable state.
If a retry performs new provider work, it can consume additional credits. If it only resumes bookkeeping or uses already completed assets, it should be materially cheaper.
Failed renders
The export tab shows render history and failed render attempts. When a render fails, review the error and start a new render when the project is ready.
Only one render can be active at a time for a project.
Run caps
Workspace plans limit concurrent productions. If the cap is reached, the app blocks new production starts until an active run finishes or clears.

Refunds
Refunds are considered within 7 days of a charge if the credits granted by that charge have not been used. Contact support with the invoice number.
If credits from a charge have been used for production work, that charge may not qualify for refund.
