Voice library
How to save, preview, search, and remove voices.
The Voice Library stores saved voices for the current user. Voices can be previewed, filtered, and assigned to characters or blueprint characters where the UI exposes a voice picker.
Saved voice grid
The Voice Library shows:
- Voice name.
- Style.
- Gender.
- Accent.
- Tags.
- Preview button.
- Remove action.
- Add Voice action.
The page supports search and gender filtering.
Adding voices
The Add Voice dialog searches the voice catalog. It supports:
- Search by name, accent, or style.
- Gender filter.
- Preview playback.
- Save action.
- "Saved" state for voices already in the library.
The initial dialog search loads a page of catalog voices. Search inputs are debounced before querying.
Preview behavior
Only one preview plays at a time. Starting a new preview stops the previous one. Closing the Add Voice dialog stops preview audio and resets dialog search state.
Removing voices
Removing a voice deletes it from the saved library. Projects or characters that already use that voice are not modified.
When to save a voice
Save a voice when it fits a recurring narrator, recurring character, brand tone, or frequently used documentary format.
Use voice assignment in the character editor for reusable characters. Use the blueprint voice picker for production-specific cast and narrators at the blueprint approval gate.
