Character creator

How to create a saved character from a text description.

The New Character page starts a saved-character creation workflow from a text description.

Creating a character

  1. Open Character Library.
  2. Select New character.
  3. Describe the character's appearance and personality.
  4. Submit.
  5. The app starts saved-character creation.
  6. When creation returns an ID, the app opens the character editor.

The current creator page focuses on the initial prompt and generation state. Voice assignment happens after creation in the character editor.

Prompt guidance

Include:

  • Age range or life stage.
  • Role.
  • Clothing.
  • Face and hair details.
  • Era or context.
  • Personality.
  • Voice direction, if relevant.
  • Whether the character is on-screen, narrator, or voice-only.

Example:

A composed spacecraft commander in a navy flight jacket, calm under pressure,
late 40s, weathered face, short dark hair, precise speech, grounded and
authoritative without sounding theatrical.

What can generate

The character workflow can create:

  • Character metadata.
  • Portrait.
  • Optional 3D model.
  • Chat history for future iteration.

The character editor shows progress stages such as thinking, updating character details, generating portrait, and sculpting 3D model.

Credits

Character iteration can show a portrait-generation credit hint. The credit is charged only when the turn regenerates the portrait.

When to create outside a project

Create saved characters outside a project when the character will be reused. If a character is only useful for one production, it may be simpler to let the project blueprint create it inside that run.
