Blueprint review
How the blueprint gate works before generation continues.
Blueprint review is the production checkpoint between planning and the rest of generation. When Plan review is enabled, the run pauses so the user can inspect and approve the package before media generation continues.
What the Blueprint tab shows
The Blueprint tab can show:
- Direction.
- Title.
- Thesis.
- Hook.
- Visual world.
- Ending.
- Key moments.
- Cast characters.
- Narrators and voice-only characters.
- Subjects.
- Settings.
The tab opens as soon as the blueprint preview exists. Some assets can keep filling in after the first preview appears.
Required readiness
The Approve blueprint action is disabled until the blueprint is ready.
Readiness requires:
- Cast characters that need portraits have reference images.
- Characters that need voices have selected voices or voice candidates.
- Subjects have reference images.
- Settings have lookbook images.
If something is missing, the approval card shows a short missing-assets summary.
What can be changed at the gate
While the run is waiting for blueprint approval, the user can:
- Regenerate cast character portraits.
- Regenerate subject images.
- Select voice candidates.
- Update character voice choice.
- Ask for blueprint changes in Studio chat.
- Approve the blueprint when all required assets are ready.
After the blueprint is approved, the per-card controls become read-only and the run continues.
Where approval happens
Approval appears on the latest assistant message in the Studio chat rail. The button can be locked while:
- Blueprint assets are still missing.
- A portrait regeneration is running.
- A subject image regeneration is running.
- A voice mutation is running.
- The assistant is still streaming.
When approved, the workspace moves toward Timeline as generation continues.
Auto mode
If Plan review is set to Auto, the blueprint is prepared and the run continues without waiting for manual approval. Use Auto only when the prompt is clear enough and speed matters more than review.
